 Pedro Velázquez has worked for the European Commission since 1987. Currently he is Deputy Head of the Sports Unit at the Directorate General for Education and Culture.
The Sports Unit has prepared the White Paper on Sport adopted by the Commission in mid July 2007.
Within the European Commission he worked previously at the Directorate General for Agriculture and the Directorate General for Interpretation and Conferences.
