Declan Hill, PhD from Oxford, is a former Canadian investigative journalist, and academic who specializes in organized crime and international issues. In the last few years, he has completed documentaries on the killing of the head of the Canadian mafia, blood feuds in Kosovo, and ethnic cleansing in Iraq. Hill has also won awards for documentaries on honour killings in Turkey, the murder of journalists in the Philippines. He was a Chevening Scholar at Green College, University of Oxford, and received his doctorate for his study of match-fixing in professional soccer.

 

Declan has worked for CBC Radio ("IDEAS", "Tapestry", "Dispatches", "The Current", "Iraq Unit") CBC Television ("the fifth estate", "Disclosure", "Newsworld" and "Newsworld International"): BBC Radio World Service and BBC Radio 4: as well as various new media outlets. Two of the documentaries that he researched were shown on "PBS Frontline". Declan also works as a consultant with Johann Lambsdorff and the Anti Corruption Training & Consulting group (ACTC).
