Invitation to Opening Seminar in Aarhus
Play the Game and the Danish Institute for Sports Studies (Idan) invites you to an opening seminar marking the merger of the two organisations. The seminar is entitled "Corruption in the corridors - International Sport at a crossroad' and takes place on Thursday 10 March.
Idan and Play the Game merged by the beginning of this year to strengthen each other in key areas such as sport policy analysis and dissemination, discussion-generating activities at home and abroad, as well as international networking.
As part of the merger Play the Game moved from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Aarhus to new premises at the Department of Sport Studies at Aarhus University.
To mark the merger and the relocation of offices, Play the Game and Idan invites friends, partners, business associates, media, new neighbours and all others interested to attend a seminar on the current challenges in international sport under the headline 'Corruption in the corridors - International Sport at a crossroad'.
The main speakers are two of the world's leading sports journalists, Laura Robinson from Canada and Jens Weinreich from Germany, who have both, in different ways, influenced the international sport agenda for many years. The seminar coincides with a growing number of voices in the international debate pointing to the need for intensified efforts against corruption and abuse of power in world sport.
The seminar is open to the public and takes place on Thursday 10 March from 13-16 pm at the Department of Sports Science, Aarhus University, Dalgas Avenue 4, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark.
