New developments in Italian match-fixing scandal

In the trial of Luciano Moggi, a former Juventus executive, phone tap conversations have been produced and used by the defense, implicating other Italian clubs in the match fixing scandal which rocked Italy four years ago.

Here, Juventus was stripped of the Serie A title for 2006 and the honor went instead to Inter Milan. The new evidence, however, shows that other teams, including Inter Milan, have had contact with refereeing officials. The Italian Football Federation officials are considering the need for a new investigation into the match-fixing scandal following these revelations.
