The Chinese government has quietly resumed blocking access to Internet sites that were unrestricted during the Olympics in August, Internet experts said Tuesday.

Liu Jianchao, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry, said at his semiweekly news conference Tuesday in Beijing that the government had a right to censor Web sites that violated the country's laws.
