More than 185 speakers are scheduled to speak in plenary and parallel sessions at Play the Game 2024 which will take place in Trondheim, Norway, from 4-7 February 2024.

Those unable to attend the conference in person will be able to meet speakers from 16 sessions that will be live-streamed for free on Play the Game's website, and they will also be available on demand later.

You will be able to follow all sessions on the conference’s opening day, Sunday 4 February, with keynote speeches by the deputy minister for sport in Ukraine, Andriy Chesnokov, and Johanna Maranhao from the Sport & Rights Alliance that works to embed human rights at the centre of sport.

Other sessions on the opening day will address the problems of the illegal sports betting industry and sexual abuse of minor athletes in Mali, and the day closes with a session with Khalida Popal, the founder and director of Girl Power, and Lise Klaveness, president of the Norwegian Football Federation. They will talk about how they are working to spark change in sport as women.

The following days offer four or five live-streamed sessions each day with sessions on the role of states like Qatar and Saudi Arabia in sports, the future of sports journalism, sport and climate change, how to set up an agency to counter crime and protect integrity in sport, and how sports organisations should react when one nation invades another. To mention just a few of the sessions that will be available.
