Governments and sports have too many conflicts of interests to lead the global anti-doping struggle alone. Jens Sejer Andersen proposes to expand the ownership, introduce collective sanctions, increase financing and tone down moralism.
The IAAF Taskforce recommends an extension of the allowance of individual Russian track and field athletes into international competitions. The ongoing suspension of the Russian Athletics Federation (ARAF) however, continues.
On November 20th, 2016, The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) endorsed a series of recommendations that will “equip the Agency to be fit for the future” while disputes over evidence of Russian state-sponsored doping continue.
